Candies 'n Curses is a 2D arcade game that belongs to the platformer subgenre. Here you control Molli, a girl who's sick of her friends telling scary stories about a haunted house in the mountains. She decides to put an end to the rumors once and for all, and spend the night there herself.
When you enter the house, you'll soon discover that the rumors were true, and that every nook and cranny of the mansion is full of evil spirits who want to kill you. However, you have a weapon to keep them away: your trusty flashlight. So basically, you have to make it as long as you can, using your flashlight to keep the ghosts at bay. At the end of each level, you'll earn experience that will help you level up. Each time you level up, you'll get better flashlights, special attacks, and energy to help you fight off the ghosts and win battles.
Candies 'n Curses is an incredibly fun game. And to top it all off, it has gorgeous pixel art graphics that make the game even better.
